Since releasing his debut album, Anatomy, in 2010, through to his most recent album, Movements, in 2026, Sebastian Oliwa has developed an extensive body of work spanning ambient, neoclassical, drone and landscape music. Across more than fifteen years of recordings, his work has explored imagined geographies, ancestral memory, and the natural world.
Over the years, he has released most of his music through independent and DIY labels, including Rohs! Records in Italy, Inner Islands, Geology Records and Rainbow Pyramid in the United States, Shimmering Moods Records in the Netherlands, and Zeon Light in Sweden.
Alongside his personal work, Sebastian has built an extensive career as a composer and sound designer for documentary, film and visual media.
His work has also extended into public art and installations, such as , a monumental kinetic installation at Singapore Changi Airport, as well as other audiovisual and interactive works. He currently lives and works in southern Spain.
